Celebrate reaching those important team goals, such as 5:30pm on Friday, with post-work drinks at The Little Prince. This prohibition-style favourite in Globe Lane was an original pioneer in its offering, and it still remains one of the CBD’s most intimate and sophisticated venues. While the interior is sumptuous and cosy, we love the outdoor lounge area. The expansive area seems to be tailor-made for team catch-ups.
Burgers and Beers With Mates
The hamburger and American food movement is as big as ever, so why not get the crew together at late-night hotspot His Boy Elroy. The menu has all the familiar favourites like authentic cheeseburgers, mac n cheese, crispy fried chicken, and chilli cheese fries (all under $20). Opened originally as one of the city’s first small bars, the drinks menu hits an expected home run. Cocktails are unapologetically Americana, such as the Miami Splice’s fruity mix of Midori, rum, Malibu and pineapple. And of course, Bud is the beer of choice.
A Universal Crowd Pleaser
Beast & Bread is one of those cafes that does daytime and after dark dining equally well. The incredibly fresh menu is simple and seasonal, consisting of 3 meats and 3 salads that changes fortnightly. There’s also a great range of wines, craft beers and ciders that perfectly complement a lazy Sunday brunch.
