Celebrating WorldPride at Wollongong

WorldPride 2023 is a global LGBTQIA+ festival which is being hosted by Sydney and its greater region this year. This means that Greater Sydney is being transformed into a Rainbow City which will see organisations install rainbow monuments to celebrate the event. In light of this, Wollongong Central is proudly part of Rainbow City for Sydney WorldPride 2023.

We have installed a rainbow monument in the centre to signify a celebration of diversity and support for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Illawarra and Greater Sydney. You can find it on level one in the Gateway building, in front of David Jones. We have included links to view all of the Rainbow City installations and other relevant resources. Make sure you check it out next time you are in the centre!
